Manuscript containing 15 tkhines (penitential women's prayers) in Yiddish, specifically intended for recitation during the High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur) and the days leading up to them during the Jewish month of Elul. The manuscript opens with a complete citation of Psalm 47 in fully vocalized Hebrew. Tkhines include) quotations from liturgy, Psalms, and various biblical texts, along with references to biblical and midrashic narratives centered on the themes of judgment, mercy, humility, self-sacrifice, repentance, and redemption. Many prayers include specific supplications to be made by a woman, pleading for forgiveness and the welfare of her entire family. Several are preceded by notes indicating the precise moment for recitation. Some tkhines contain a special abbreviation in Hebrew indicating where the name of the woman should be inserted.
