Statement of responsibility: Lith. by B. F. Smith, Jr. N.Y.
The print, probably used as a poster, may represent the enchanted palace in act II of Perrot's Faust, the ballet chosen for the United States debut of the Ronzani Company, Sept. 16, 1857.
The costumes and positions of the three principals at center are identical with those in Smyth's wood engraving of Cerrito, Grahn, and Saint-Léon in Perrot's Pas des déesses, published in The Illustrated London News, August 1, 1846 (*MGZFA Pas 1).

Description
Upper border curved, suggesting a proscenium arch; parted stage curtains at left and right. Décor represents the interior of a palace, with a garden in background. Three rows of female dancers in stylized poses at left and right, between which two ballerinas and a male dancer execute a leap.
