Content: Written on border: 'May 1, 1917" Printed on border: "Models from Marthe Gauthier" "For the sake of a center of interest there is a bouquet; for beauty, cream lace; for symmetry, ribbon bows; and for the usual 'raison d'etre,' yellow mousseline" "Apparently not an 'envelope,' but, really, it looks rather like one, this chemise of dull blue voile de soie, with its rosette of flowers and graduated rose ribbon fringe" "The insidious dot has now crept on to our underwear in great quantities; sometimes black dots of tulle are applied with embroidery on a combination of old blue crêpe de chine" Includes additional text.
