Shows various trails through New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Relief shown by hachures. Survey "made by Capt. A.W. Whipple. T.E. in 1853-4. With additions showing the route of the proposed wagon road from Fort Defiance to the Colorado together with several lateral explorations." "House Ex. Doc. No. 124. 1st Session 35th Cong." Appears in : Beale, Edward Fitzgerald; Wagon road from Fort Defiance to the Colorado River. Washington, 1858.
