Description
Petition to Gov. George Clinton, showing that John Baker, a blacksmith of this town, was made prisoner by a party of continental troops or militia and is now confined at Poughkeepsey; he has since been plundered of his smith's tools by some regulars; he has always been peaceable and quiet; they pray that, he may be released in order to care for his suffering family.
