Description
Letter from Brissot, founder of the Societé des amis des Noirs to James Phillips, founding member of the Society for Effecting the Abolition of Slavery. Written three months before the onset of the French Revolution, in which Brissot would play a leading role, this letter details the progress of the Societé.
