Title and date from caption on recto of copy 1. LC record lacks caption. Photograph is attributed to Shahn on recto of copy 1. This photograph is part of a number series that includes many "killed" images with holes punched through the negatives. Photograph could be by Paul Carter. The closest identified images in LoC are attributed to him. FSA Collection contains two copies of this photograph.
Content: See LoC 011009-B ("Barn built a century ago ... Near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania"), credited to Paul Carter and depicting the same building.
