Statement of responsibility: The engraving was printed by Fournier, Paris.
Creation/production credits: The lithograph is credited to the Fabrique d'Estampes de Gaugel, Metz. It is hand-colored, with gold pigment applied over the glazing.

Description
Dance diplomas, each depicting a man in military uniform dancing at the center of an audience of men and women. The engraving printed by Fournier has been filled in and includes the date, 21 Novembre 1841. The man performs with a stick in a room decorated with chandeliers, candelabra, and draperies; a five-man orchestra plays in a box behind him. In the lithograph, the man dances on a veranda; in the background are pillars adorned with bunting, and views of a city and mountains beyond; an orchestra plays in a box at left. The picture's border incorporates the words, reading clockwise from center, "Graces et décence. Légèreté. Vif au plaisir ardent au travail. Agilité."
