Content: Item is numbered "9" above the endorsement. The ribbon tie has been removed from the document; sheets are attached by wafers at the corner.
Content: Lease dated 1829 (month and date are blank) with agreement dated July 27, 1829. Both the indenture and agreement were edited for reuse. In a note acknowledging receipt of Hackett's security deposit, dated August 15, 1829 and signed by Henry Astor, Hackett's name has been replaced in pencil by Thomas S. Hamblin, with a date of 28 August 1830. Astor's signature is crossed out.
