Content: The short preface says that the work consists of twelve skandhas of the Mahabharata translated from Sanskrit text of Shrī Bed Biyās (Ved-Vyās) into Persian by Mullā Abū al-Fayz̤ Fayz̤ī in 1096/1685.
Content: Physical description : Medium think cream paper. 343 folios with 5 flyleaves (i-ii, 1-343, iii-v). 13 lines. Large black nastaʻlīq with key words in blue, green and red. Green, tan (possibily immitating gold), black, red and blue rulings. Sarlawḥ on folios 1b-2a in a nineteenth-century Kashmiri style, with lapis blue background with large tan geometric vegetal design, both patterned with gold flowers outlined in black. Narrow borders in orange and mauve flowers on rinceaux. Colophon on folio 343b. Date of copying written in red against a vegetal design in tan (immitating gold). 17 miniatures: 8a, 51b, 57v, 73a, 79b, 86b, 118a, 136a, 155a, 165a, 171a, 195a, 212a, 222a, 249a, 291a, 336b.
