Description
Lou Moreno, who is soon to step down as artistic director of the Hispanic American Arts Center (also known as INTAR) after fifteen years in the position, discusses his theater career with Ramón Espejo and René Lavalle. He relates how he grew up in both the U.S. and in Colombia, and how he became interested in theater. He discusses his introduction to INTAR, and the evolution of his relationships with several of the company's leaders and participants, including Max Ferra, Eduardo Machado, and María Irene Fornés. He talks about the company's difficulties in securing a permanent space in Manhattan, and also touches upon several memorable productions staged during his tenure.
